Nudel Kart

On Monday each Learning Community will have the opportunity to explore our new Nudel Kart, kindly purchased by our PFA.

Our Nudel Kart incursion will introduce children to this deconstructable, mobile kart that can be reconfigured in endless ways to encourage self-directed learning.  Nudel Kart uses specific loose parts to help children develop 21st Century skills such as collaboration, negotiation, communication, creativity and resilience.

The aim is for our Nudel Kart to be accessible to all Learning Communities during class time and also be available for groups of children during lunchtimes to explore and create.

Check out what is Nudel Kart is all about...

Italian Day Helpers

A message from Signora Anderson...

Ciao a tutti (Greetings everyone),

I am currently planning Corpus Christi’s bi-annual Italian day and am seeking all the wonderfully supportive parents who are willing and able to lend a hand.

Our Italian day celebrations will take place on Wednesday 19th October.

The day will commence with a whole school assembly – a gala event not to be missed!  The children will then move into their small groups (which they will select the previous week) to discover the beauty of the Italian culture.

We will be offering the children the opportunity to participate in four 45-minute activities between the times of 9.30 - 1.00 pm… this is where we need your assistance because many hands will make light work. If you are able to assist in anyway and for any length of time I would love to hear from you.  Remember no contribution is too small and that your assistance will add value to what is shaping up to be a wonderful day.

Thanking you in anticipation of your help

Footy Colours Dress Up Day

Don't forget that this Friday 2nd September we will celebrate the AFL final series with the return of our annual ‘Footy Colours Dress-Up Day’.

On this day children are invited to wear their favourite AFL team colours to school. If you are struggling to find an outfit, black and white looks good on everyone.

Fathers' Day Brekky

This Friday 2nd September, we will kick off Fathers' Day Weekend (ha ha), with our Fathers’ Day Breakfast.

Breakfast will be served from 8:00 am until 8:45 am and what better to serve dad than a hot bacon and egg roll? Don’t forget to wear your Footy Colours to school (dads and children)!

Fathers' Day Stall

Following breakfast, our traditional Fathers’ Day Stall will return. There will be a myriad of gifts to choose from starting from as little as $2.00. It is up to each family to decide what would be an appropriate amount to spend.

Fathers' Day Helpers

Thank you to all those parents who have volunteered for our Fathers' Day Breakfast and Stall.  Please arrive on time and report to the people in the Pink Vests!

Staffing & Budgets 2023

This may seem a little early but if any family is not returning to Corpus Christi School in 2023 it would be really helpful to know as it will affect our staffing schedule. Please inform the school office as soon as possible if you are not returning in 2023.

Have a wonderful week,

God bless
