Year 7 Science

Year 7 science students are continuing to have lots of fun with their biology studies! Students enjoyed dissecting a fish, prawn and squid to study the differences between exoskeletons and endoskeletons. The dissection of the squid was particularly enjoyable as students first opened up the creature's mantle to determine its sex. Then they were able to closely examine the beak and dissect the eyes to look in detail at the lens. This was finished with removing the internal inner shell which is called a pen. Students are now completing science posters on the five kingdoms to finish their unit on classification.

They are looking forward to learning about physics next term.
