Grade 2 Maths

In Mathematics classes this week, the Grade 2 students have been working on their ability to collect data and to create lists, tables and graphs. In this lesson, they worked in teams to separate counters into like colours, before graphing their findings using simple graph styles such as pictographs and bar graphs. They then used their graphs to answer a range of questions designed to further their ability to interpret simple graph types. Along with developing their Mathematics skills, students were encouraged to focus on the way they interact with and care for others, as well as making an equal contribution to group tasks.
