Year 5 Update

Welcome to Year 5 with Mr B, Miss Ferdinands, Miss Broughill, Ms Hughes, Miss Stillitano and Mr Wright

During the next fortnight, students will be undertaking learning in the following areas:

Subject	Learning Focus
Reading	To identify adjectives, nouns, verbs and adverbs. To identify and use figurative language.
Writing	To write description texts that use good word choice.
Maths	To learn about chance and data.
Science	To learn about the states of matter.
Inquiry	To recognise the main geographic characteristics of Europe.
Social & Emotional Learning	To reconnect with my peers and identify my personal strengths.

Students should be reading nightly and filling out their diaries. They should also be practicing their spelling words nightly for their spelling tests on a Friday.
