Principal's Message
"Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed no hope at all."
Dale Carnegie
The past few weeks have been filled with a variety of activities and events which have seen our Brigidine students thrive.
We have witnessed the completion of the formal HSC Trials and I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate our Class of 2022. The Trials represent an excellent benchmark of certain achievements to date, but I ask that you impress upon the girls the need to continue to strive for excellence and to do their best in all things. I would like to thank Ms Eleonora Agazzi (Director of Curriculum) and Ms Amy Borg (Year 12 Pastoral Care Coordinator) for their impeccable organisation and smooth running of the Trials.
A Canteen Takeover was performed by our Hospitality students. With an incredible variety of foods in which to enjoy, the students of our Year 12 Hospitality classes catered for approximately 350 students. A wonderful initiative which produced much excitement for all involved as well as providing a welcomed donation to Canice's Kitchen.
On Friday 2 September the College hosted a Father’s Day Mass and breakfast. It was a wonderful opportunity to come together as a community and celebrate the value and strength provided by the many fathers, carers and grandfathers of our students. I am truly grateful for those who were able to attend. Although the last couple of years have been exceptionally challenging in so many ways, I feel one clear message that has come through has been the value of family, and the support that family can provide us all.
It is with great honour that I announce to our Brigidine Community the 2023 Profile Captains:
Last Wednesday Stage 6 parents gathered for our first Parent Forum for 2022. As communicated in the recent Parent Update, I thought it would be highly beneficial to host Parent Forums that focus on the various stages our students are in. The conduct of Staged Forums will, I consider, allow for targeted conversations, which relate specifically to particular Year groups. With this in mind, the remaining Stages will gather on the following days:
I look forward to you joining me.
