FUNd Raising in the Hood!

Hi there, I’m Nicole Misurelli a local community member, foster carer and my kids are BNWPS alumni. 😊

We’re holding a garage sale this Friday, 2-4pm at 31 Wales Street (across from school) to raise funds for the Lighthouse Foundation.

Pop over for bikes, lovely succulents, handknitted and crafted goods and much, much more – or just to say “hi” and for a yarn.

In May this year a friend and I will trek the Larapinta Trail in NT ( Arrernte Land) and our fund-raising target by then is $10,000.

Lighthouse Foundation - how funds raised will make a difference?

The funds we raise will be used to open a new therapeutic home for young people impacted by neglect, abuse and homelessness – funds will pay for rent, carers and all costs associated with running a Lighthouse home, meaning up to six more vulnerable kids can access the support they need to thrive.

Just $30 can provide a warm meal for a resident at a lighthouse home
$48 can provide a welcome backpack for a young person moving into care, including toiletries, pyjamas, socks, underwear and a teddy
With $110 we can provide educational resources to at-risk kids
$170 covers the cost of bedding and furniture for a new young person moving into care
$600 can provide counselling and group therapy to help young people
$1,000 ‘keeps the lights on’ in a Lighthouse home for 3 months
