COVID Safety

As we move further and further away from the pandemic and memories of 2020 and 2021 we would like to remind everyone about the processes that the school has in place to manage the risk of transmission and ask for your support in encouraging your children to act safely.

  • All classrooms will be running an air purifier throughout the school day, and will keep windows and doors open for the flow of air when it is possible and appropriate.Filters of our air purifiers have been replaced over the holidays.
  • Students will be regularly reminded to practice hand hygiene by washing their hands and/or using hand sanitiser.
  • Anyone who tests positive with COVID should stay away from school for at least five days - this includes both  students and staff. The office has a supply of RATs for any families who are symptomatic and would like to test. While it is no longer required for families to inform the school of a positive case, we appreciate any communication about students who test positive, so we can manage risks here at school.
  • It is still an option for any member of our community to wear a mask if they have any concerns about their own symptoms, or about student and staff  proximity to others. We have masks available for students, staff and visitors to use.

Most importantly, we would like to remind everyone that if your child is unwell, with any type of symptoms, the best place for them to be is recuperating at home. Students and teachers learn and interact best when they are feeling 100%. If students are home sick,  please make sure that you log the absence on Sentral.
