Parent Portal Reminder

This year we will be accessing our reports via a new Parent Portal. Earlier this term we sent out an Operoo asking for all email addresses to be updated with our office to ensure we have the correct details in our system for your portal login instructions. You will be receiving an email in the next few days with instructions on how to access this portal.

We ask that when you receive your email instructions you log on to the portal to ensure there are no issues. Please be aware that you will not have access to your child’s end of year report until Thursday, Dec 15th. If you need support logging on please call the office.

Summer Holiday Brain Challenge!

Learning is for Life

In my last newsletter, I talked about the holiday slide. This is something that occurs when students have long breaks between learning skills and practicing those skills. For students to retain the skills they have learned in school they must revisit or practice them over a number of weeks and sometimes months. To avoid this slide over the break we are encouraging all students to continue to be learners and keep practicing their basic skills while they are away from school. This week we will be sending home a Summer Holiday Brain Challenge pack for all students. These will be targeted at your child’s learning level and support them to embed their learning. The booklet will support students to read, write and practice their Mathematics skills at least 3 times a week. We ask that you support them to complete their Reading, Writing or Number challenges at least 3 times a week. Students will be encouraged to bring their booklet to their beginning of the year interview and share their learning with their new teacher. We thank you for your support and look forward to seeing all of their learning in 2023.
