Recently, we competed in the Football NSW Futsal State Championships. We had teams in the U16 Girls and Boys and Opens Boys competitions. All teams played very well. Our U16 Girls and Opens Boys reached the quarter finals before bowing out in tight contests.
Futsal is a sport widely embraced by the students here at our school and we will continue to foster the development of our students.
Congratulations to Jarrod Carluccio for his continued outstanding performances in football this year. He was an integral member of his NSW team who won the Gold medal and crowned National Champions at the School Sport Australia Opens Boys Football Championships.
Jarrod was named Most Valuable Player for his NSW team. Jarrod’s superb displays were rewarded with his selection in the Australian Schoolboys Football team to tour England next January.
This is a truly outstanding achievement. Jarrod becomes only the second student from Cecil Hills HS to reach this representative level in football. We wish Jarrod all the best for his tour next year.
