Jonathan Gauci - Year 12

Jonathan Gauci from the Support Unit has worked as our Library Monitor since his appointment in 2014 after he proved himself to be a reliable and consistent team member over a trial period. He will graduate from Year 12 this year.   We at the Library could not have asked for a better team member, and truly appreciate the work Jonathan does here.

His duties can range from ringing the bell, organising and tidying tables, putting up important Library information, switching on the computers, tidying shelves, you name it, he does it.   Jonathan often helps with customer service and will pass on questions from other students to Library Staff.

Of course he also helps with our recycling, and setting up for the many events hosted here.   We take this opportunity to thank him at this time, and will work with him until the end of Term 4 where he will go on to enjoy life after school and we wish him every success.

Manehal Khan, our other Library monitor interviewed Jonathan and asked him:

“What has been your favourite thing working as a Library Monitor?”

Jonathan answered that his favourite things were:

“ Talking to Mrs Green and Mrs Low and making sure people were always respectful in the Library”.

On the topic of favourite things, Manehal of Year 10, who has been a Library monitor since year 7 nominated socialising with everyone as top of her list.   She loves seeing new faces, talking to teachers and trying to help out whenever she can.

Manehal also commented that she loves how the Library is growing "check out the new bag racks out the front for our increasing popularity" and "how we are making a way for wheelchair access by building the new ramp".

We look forward to the continued growth and sharing of this positive space that is our Library!

"Happy holidays everyone"
