Ozanam House Pantry Drive

During July M1 Home Group organised a Pantry Drive for Ozanam House where staff and students were encouraged to donate non -perishable items and toiletries to the organisation. Ozanam House provides meals, accommodation and basic living items for men finding it tough. The aim is to get the men back on their feet and back into an independent living environment. Assistance is offered in many forms to the men of Melbourne, it is always completed with dignity and total support as each man is experiencing their own individual journey.
Over a two week period the Home Group M1 and some SLG students promoted the drive and encouraged all to contribute to this worthy cause. On Friday 28 July products were handed into the VCAL Centre and we were happy to report there are still goods coming in. Louise Augustinus a Team Leader from Ozanam House has been notified and will be coming to pick up the goods at a later date. It was a great success for such a worthy cause. We will be implementing this as an annual event going forward. Thank you to the generosity of all members of the Catholic Regional College Sydenham Community.
