Art Express Nomination

Congratulations to Jack Moran on being nominated for Art Express with his Photographic Body of Work “Salad Days”.  Jack presented  80 photographs from over 130 rolls of film, all processed by him and printed in the darkroom. The works celebrate the positive and creative energy of youth and the enduring power of analogue photography as document.

DRAMA

Drama Performance Night - Wednesday 28 November:   5.30pm start

Students who take Drama in Years 7, 9 and 10 at St Pius will have the opportunity to perform in front of friends, family and the school community in two weeks' time. It is a wonderful opportunity for all the Drama students to share the work they have done in class over the past semester.

Be prepared to see your favourite fairy tale character in a whole new light when a group of students from Year 7 perform their Fractured Fairy Tales. Year 9 Elective Drama will present scenes from Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream". They have focused on the "Rude Mechanicals"  and will present their 'play within a play'.

Year 10 will present original plays devised around a real-world event using the theatrical techniques of Brecht and some students will also perform monologues, giving them a real insight into solo performance and the challenges of keeping an audience engaged.

We hope you will support our students and come along to watch.
