Valentines Day Concert

Students gathered in the courtyard to see a full line-up of talented musicians for the HPSC Valentines Day Concert in February. We have so much talent here at HPSC, and we are always proud of showing it off!

Girls on the Move

After school on Wednesdays, a group of our female EAL students signed up to participate in a  program to increase physical activity. The program run by Wellsprings for Women is called ‘Girls on the Move’ and looks to introduce sport and physical activity to young women of migrant and/or refugee backgrounds. The aim is to address barriers that may be holding them back from participating in sport, and the emphasis is on fun, having a go, and boosting physical activity.

The girls started with cricket last week and will be exploring a number of sports across the year. We are excited to get as many of our students involved in physical activity as possible and help them develop life-long positive health behaviours. Thanks to Rehana for organising and overseeing this program, whilst continually supporting female EAL students both inside and outside the classroom. We encourage any of our female EAL students to contact Rehana if you too want to be involved in this after school program and join in the fun!
