2D's Cultural Celebrations

As part of our Calendar unit in Mathematics, 2D learners identified the dates of their own significant cultural celebrations. The students worked in pairs to research key information about their celebrations and created Keynote presentations to share their deepened understanding with their peers in 2D. As part of our transfer, 2D marked each significant event on our classroom calendar to ensure we acknowledge and celebrate these events throughout 2021. 

The celebrations we shared and discovered were: 

• Diwali 4th November
• Vesak 6th May 
• Lunar New Year 12th February
• Sri Lanka New Year 13th April
• Halloween 31st October
• Raksha Bandhan 22nd August
