Sustainability News

To make Sustainability more global, children aware of the multi-facets of  Sustainability and involve the wider school community more in our initiatives, we are going to focus on a new topic each month.

March is ......THEY'RE CALLING ON YOU

There are only 880 Mountain Gorillas left in the wild as their habitat is mine for colton, a metal that is used in the manufacture of mobile phones.

The collection of unwanted mobile phones will lessen mining and increase funding to save the gorillas. This program is endorsed by Zoos Victoria.

A collection box will be placed in the office

Sustainability leaders will be visiting classrooms in the coming week to tell students about the recycling program

It is estimated that there are 5,000,000 unused phones in Australia.
