AFL Virtual Community Camps

The Year 9 AFL Development class this week met with players from the Richmond Football Club as part of the Community Camps program delivered by the AFL. Typically, players would join schools in person, but due to COVID-19 pandemic, things were done a little differently this year. 

We were joined by three-time Premiership player Dion Prestia, Defender Bigoa Nyuon, and recently drafted 208cm ruckman Samson Ryan.

Players talked about their experiences at AFL level, their junior years and life in the AFL bubble of 2019. It was great to hear of the different pathways these players experienced in their journey to AFL, as well as talking about studying and plans for life after AFL.
