Epilepsy Essentials

On Wednesday 17 March, all staff will participate in a professional learning program covering the essentials of Epilepsy.  This program, delivered by Epilepsy Action Australia, covers information about epilepsy and seizures, including descriptions and videos of different seizure types, as well as seizure first aid and management strategies. 

Emergency Medications - Midazolam

On Wednesday 24 March (unfortunately impacting our original Family Night date) our teachers will be attending a training program covering seizure emergencies and how they are managed outside the hospital setting.  This course includes:

1. different seizure emergencies
2. seizure management plans
3. what medications are used and why
4. how to administer Midazolam
5. possible contingencies
