English

This term, our group chose to research the Seychelles. We have learnt many new interesting things. The Seychelles is a French speaking country located in the Indian Ocean. There are three official languages spoken in the Seychelles. These are French, English and Creole. The Seychelles consists of 115 islands and is divided into 25 separate administrative regions. It is known for its beaches, tropical forests and oceans.

The Seychelles is a very popular tropical tourist destination. However, it can be quite expensive as it is a very isolated country. There are lots of things to do in the Seychelles such as snorkeling, scuba diving, trekking and hiking and island hopping.

There are also lots of festivals celebrated in the Seychelles. On 29 June, the Seychelles celebrate their independence from France. To celebrate, there are parades, music, dancing and lots of food. Other festivals in the Seychelles include Semaine de la Francophonie, la digue and creole festival.

Our group enjoyed learning about the Seychelles and its culture, and all the other French speaking countries in the world. We now have a much bigger understanding of the French speaking world.
