FUTSAL COMPETITION
Throughout the first half of Term 2, students have been playing a lunchtime Futsal competition.
Students in Years 7-9 organised themselves into teams and entered the competition that ran over two lunchtimes per week. The first session was group games, with a Semi Final and Grand Final played in the second session.
There was a great turn out of students wanting to play and spectate.
The competition saw some closely scored games and nail biting Grand Finals.

See below report from Madhuvanthi Krishnamurthy:
After playing against four schools and defeating them without breaking a sweat, we arrived at the day of truth - whether we will play in the regionals or not.
On Tuesday 22 June 2021, the McKinnon Year 7 Badminton A team Girls versed the Parkdale team. We were nervous but there was no time to worry because the other school had arrived. Our team consisted of six people but unfortunately one of our teammates (Tina) couldn't make it. It was possible for us to play 2 doubles matches and 4 singles matches. We started off with the doubles and it was a smooth start. It only took us around 10-15 minutes to finish the game not even letting them pass the score 10.
We won both our doubles matches which was kind of not a surprise. We took a couple of minutes to relax and started our singles. It was a really good game because we won the singles with 4 - 1. The whole thing was a fun and competitive experience and everyone enjoyed it.
We are happy to announce that we will be travelling to regionals in Term 3.
