HAPPY, HEALTHY & ACTIVE KIDS

By Angus and Chloe (Sports Captains)

Hi everyone,

Term 3 is going to be a very enjoyable term for us all as we embark on a healthy active lifestyle for all students at CPS. Chloe and I (Angus), along with the help of the PE teachers, Mr Pollard and Mr O’Brien want to encourage students to take part in activities at lunchtime led by the year 6 students. We had a test early in Term 2 with the year 3 students and they had a ball!

The lunchtime activities will include participation in modified basketball, soccer, cricket games and a whole lot of mixed games where students can engage in a positive way with friends and enjoy an hour of being healthy and active!

This will be monitored on a timetable and updated each week during our Monday morning assemblies. The locations will be determined by weather and could take place in the hall, on the oval or other locations around the school for maximum fun!

Even if you’re not the biggest sport advocate or the Michael Jordan of basketball, our year 6 team will make sure you feel right at home!

Sometimes, we may switch up the activities, including opposite sports days and competitions for prizes! Can’t wait to see you there!
