Safety Reminder

As our students are becoming more independent and spending more time with their friends at our wonderful local parks and around our community, we thought our families may appreciate some support with having conversations about stranger awareness.

Strangers

  • Strangers are people that we do NOT already know.
  • We do NOT talk to them without asking an adult, first.
  • Even if they know our name that does NOT mean it is okay to talk to them.
  • Police Officers, Ambulance Officers or Firefighters are NOT strangers.
  • We should not go anywhere with or take anything from a stranger.
  • If an adult is not nearby and we do not feel safe, we should go quickly to a safe building nearby like a shop, school, library, or a neighbour’s house (that we know) where an adult can help us.
