From our Chair

The list of Quality Improvement Achievements over the passed 12 months ,along with a long list of Quality Improvements in progress you provided the board with last meeting, highlight what a great team of committed employees we have.
The previous 18 months has presented our industry with many challenges above and beyond the normal day to day challenges aged care presents our employees . Those of us near to the industry do have an understanding of some of those challenges. However, those who either have a poor,or no understanding or appreciation of the daily challenges age care presents to our employees ,seem to only too often get to express their opinions in the media which helps no one.
Not only have the team of employees at ECA continued to provide an excellent level of care second to none to our residents, they have undertaken to progressively introduce changes required to achieve the new standards set by the industry , along with a number of necessary changes to programs/processes required to meet our fiscal responsibilities
It would be great to be in a financial position to be able to reward each of the employees who have contributed those extra efforts in driving those changes and achieving the Quality Improvements to date. Unfortunately, we’re not in that position .
On behalf of the board, please pass on our thanks to everyone who continues to contribute to the great organisation of ECA and provide tremendous care and love to all those we are responsible for. Their efforts are recognised and much appreciated .
