Term two has been full of hands-on learning experiences in Writing. We began the term learning all about procedural texts and worked together to write and follow the procedure of some delicious recipes, including lemonade – and the party favourite, Fairy Bread!

Students also wrote their own ‘disgusting’ recipes inspired by the book Wombat Stew, creating a classroom recipe book. Students developed new language skills to include adjectives and verbs in their procedures.

During remote learning students began to explore persuasive writing. They have enjoyed forming an opinion and writing convincing arguments about a number of different topics like, Should everyday be lunch order day at FPS?
