Academic Care and Wellbeing

Farewell Assembly

Thursday's Farewell Assembly was a celebration of Year 12, and acknowledged their contributions and years of schooling. Thank you to family and friends who joined in the celebration online. As part of the celebrations the Year 12 class of 2021  were presented with their 'Mater Dei Cross'.

The ceremony was a special opportunity to congratulate Year 12 on their efforts, wish them all the very best for the HSC exams, thank them for their contributions to the College and wish each student well on their life journey.

RUOK Day

To celebrate RUOK day students were encouraged to connect with others via zoom through a range of fun activities. Students had the opportunity to cook with Mrs Fellows, Home experiments with Mr Britton, Fitness sessions with Mr Hope and even a Makeup tutorial session with ex Mater Dei student Lily Jenkins, to name a few. In a time where many felt isolated, this was a great opportunity to connect with peers and have some fun.

Uniform and Appearance

As we commence Term 4, students are reminded to return in full summer uniform. Fortunately hairdressers and barbers are currently open for business so please ensure hair for boys is above the collar. All students are expected to maintain a neat and tidy appearance, as outlined in our Uniform and Appearance Policy below.

Student Wellbeing

As we come to the end of a challenging term where students have transitioned between school and remote learning, it is important to focus on student wellbeing.

The following article from SchoolTV entitled The Wellbeing Barometer offers parents / carers the opportunity to participate in a short survey. The results will help guide schools in supporting students next term.
