Remote Learning Surveys

In the middle of last term, we put out a survey to parents and students to help us understand how our online remote learning program was going.

The feedback from this survey was very interesting and helped us to understand the tweaks we could make to improve the learning and overall experience for the children and families doing it tough at home. The data that we received and the changes that we made following this survey can be found in Newsletter 13, published in early September.

We were obviously very keen to understand the effect that these changes made and whether they had been effective at making things better for those at the other side of the screen.

We were really happy that our follow-up survey to parents and students, run in the final week of term 3 shows that, for the vast majority, these changes were seen as real improvements. The data shows that our changed remote learning model has helped the children to better engage with their learning and manage their daily routines and has reduced the buredn on parents at home.

Some of the key questions and data from parents were;

How has your child found the amount of work that has been assigned?

How would you judge this balance between pre-recorded and live learning?

Where 0 is too much pre-recorded and 100 is too much live learning.

Please indicate how far you agree with the following statements

The data from the students was just as positive;

How do you feel about the amount of work that has been assigned to  you in the past week?

How much do you agree with the following statements?

We know that Remote Learning remins one of the biggest challneges that our students and our families face and that these changes haven't suddenly solved everything but it is great to see that the new structures and expectations have made things a bit better for everyone.
