Principal's News

Above- Thank you Mrs Kimball for our beautiful new Artwork!  We can't wait for you all to see it when you return to school.

I would like an abundance of peace.

I would like full vessels of charity.

I would like rich treasures of mercy.

I would like cheeerfulness to preside over all.

St Brigid of Kildare

Dear Parents and Friends,

Well……the slow road out of lockdown is creeping closer and closer and let me tell you I for one have so missed our children here at school! Talking in the staffroom with the teachers who come onsite when rostered on are all saying the same thing - we just want to be back at school with “our kids”.

And next week Carolyn Yass, Sarah Kimball, Cathryn Scofield, Suzie Ripp, Cassie Dirkze, Ellen Behrendt, Moira Wessels and Jules Oudshoorn get their  wish (at least for a couple of days!).  From Monday, our Foundation children are onsite - Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and then complete remote learning on Thursday and Friday.

Our Year 1/2 children complete remote learning Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and then are at school on Thursday and Friday.

When dropping/collecting your Foundation or 1/2 students off please drop them off/pick them up via the Chute Street gates.

Change of date - all students from F-6 are back onsite on Friday 5th November at this stage - as with all things COVID this could change again!!

Face Masks

Health directives state that face masks are mandatory for students in Years 3-6 and recommended for students in F - 2. Parents are to provide masks for their children. They must be worn both inside and outside.

Staff must wear face masks both inside and outside.

Masks can be removed:

  • When speaking to a teacher or children if they are finding it difficult to understand while in the process of teaching
  • When eating or drinking

Thank you for your support in this matter.

COLOUR RUN - Friday 12th November

Thank you for your enthusiasm for this fun event. We are looking forward to “throwing colour” at our students. At this stage we have booked George Woods but we do not know whether we will be allowed to have excursions!! If we cannot have excursions we will do the colour run on school grounds  Hopefully,  we can have parents attend, but I have to wait for directives from MACS - I will let you know as soon as I know!

A very big thank you to John(3/4Y) and Nicholas’(1/2B) dad who has very kindly donated 250 sausages for the children's sausage sizzle before the run!

CAMP

At this stage, camps are not going ahead (School Operations Guide Monday 11th October), but we are keeping our fingers and toes crossed that this may change. We have booked a camp for the Year 5/6 ‘s for December, if we are allowed to by then.

Again, as soon as anything changes we will let you know. Thank you for your patience and understanding!

St Brigid's Fee Schedule 2022

School fees for 2022 have increased in line with the MACS policy (estimated between 2.3 % to 2.4%)

School fees for the 2021 school year are now overdue unless you have a specialised payment plan in place. Families on direct debit payments please review your last statement to ensure that your fees are paid in full by end of year. Thank you to those families who have made recent payments.

Please contact Fiona Blair 95804518 or email finance@sbmord.catholic.edu.au if you have any queries regarding outstanding amounts or payments

Congratulations

Exciting news for our own Mrs Williams this week - she became a grandma to little baby Louis!!  Well done Clio and Andy.

Take care and stay safe

Yours in partnership.
