Mathletics Awards
Congratulations to all students who received a Gold Mathletics Award in Term 3.
A special congratulations to goes to our three highest achievers in Mathletics for 2018 - Maya Valenzuela, Ike Mansour-Pretty and Sienna Perrotta. These three students received a special award at assembly on Monday for all of their hardwork and efforts this year.
Maths Olympiad and Maths Games
The Maths Olympiad and Maths Games is an extension Mathematics competition offered to students in Years 5 and 6. This year we had 15 students compete in the competition, which sees them complete 5 individual competitions, assessing their mathematical knowledge and understanding. At the conclusion of the 5 competitions, several awards are awarded.
Certificate of Achievement: Congratulations to the following students who competed in this year's competition - Madison Guerra, Francis Mason, Milana Richards, Sarah Sciulli, Justin Huynh, Sara Lay, Claudia Perri, Bella Qiu, Leah Chen, Ben Sauro, Conor Skaliotis, Sienna Liberatore, Giulia Codini, Sienna Ciarma and Marcus Nardella.
Highest Individual Score: This trophy is awarded to the student with the highest overall score in the Maths Olympiad contests. Congratulations to Leah Chen who was this year's recipient.
Top 10% Achievement: This pin is awarded to students who score in the Top 10% of results nationwide in the Maths Olympiad contest. This was awarded to Leah Chen.
Top 25% Achievement: This award is given to students who score in the top 25% of results nationwide in the Maths Olympiad contest. Congratulations to Conor Skaliotis and Bella Qiu for this achievement.
Maths Games Special Mentions: Awarded to students who display increased confidence in their mathematical abilities, who demonstrate creativity and show intuition for problem solving. This year the Special Mentions were awarded to; Milana Richards, Francis Mason, Sienna Liberatore, Ben Sauro and Sara Lay.
