Year 9 PE - Lawn Bowls

Over the last three weeks, the year nine elective PE classes have been building community partnerships with the Castlemaine Lawn Bowls Club. Both classes walked down to bowling green and undertook two sessions. Students quickly learnt that it was not just ‘an old person’s’ game and it required a lot of skill. The students were lucky enough to be coached by some the bowls members, to help with their technique.

All students’ skills progressed over the two sessions, all while having a great time. This was a fantastic opportunity for students to try something new.

A big Thankyou to Rod and Maureen Fletcher as well as the other bowls members for volunteering their time and expertise.
