We are learning to recognise division problems that use sharing and grouping.


VOCABULARY

Sharing: is where we need to find how many things are shared equally.

 

Grouping: is where we need to find how many groups, rather than how many in each group.


ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

Ask your child to create their own worded problems using the terms “share between”. 

For example, Dean had 48 lollies he wanted to share between his 12 friends. How many lollies did each friend receive if we shred them equally?
