Motor Neurone Disease Awareness Day

Many thanks to Mrs Katie Goddard and Ms Robyn Traynor for their organisation of this wonderful day. To the Sacred Heart staff and all current and past students and families, and members of the wider community who joined us on the last day of term for our MND Awareness day.  The sense of community and the support shown was greatly appreciated.

We all came together united and JOINING THE FIGHT, to show our unconditional support to Rick and Errol.

The day was made possible by so many businesses and individuals and we are all truly grateful.

Special thanks to Sunnyfield Disability Services for their assistance and friendship and being there with Rick and Errol.

Many thanks to the following businesses for their very generous donations:

Boggabri RSL Club, Boggabri Meats, Boggabri BP, Boggabri IGA, Coles Gunnedah, Wadette and John Shaw, Marlene Nelson, Boggabri Post Office, Goodness and Gracious Gunnedah.

Many thanks also to Sophie Rodstrom, Tina Swain, Mel Thibault and Kate Groves for the delicious cupcakes and also to Keira from the Cookie Diaries for the gorgeous Big Freeze Cookies.

To anyone who helped out on the day, your help was greatly appreciated.

A special mention to all of the Sacred Heart Staff for their support in this fantastic cause. Last but not least to Katie Goddard, Leah Rees, Kath Baird and Jen Darley who braved the cold weather in the ice bucket challenge - what brave ladies you were!!

Raffle winners were: Nan Fran, Plevey Family, Groves Family, Coen Gough and Georgie Carrigan.

At FightMND, they are driven by a singular and urgent vision - a world free of Motor Neurone Disease (MND). As are we! From the day, Sunny Gunny FightMND Big 9 received $2,684.20 to go towards valuable research.
