Principal’s Message

Dear Parents and Carers,

It was lovely to have students, teachers and families return back to school last week. It was a very settled week with students re-engaging with their learning and catching up with their friends.

This Wednesday 26 July, we invite all grandparents to our school to celebrate Grandparents Day and the wonderful contribution they make to our lives. We will begin with a liturgy at 10:30am and then all grandparents are invited to stay for morning tea. 

For all Catholic students in Year 2 and 3, preparation for First Reconciliation and First Eucharist will commence this week. If you do not wish for your child to participate please let me know.  First Reconciliation will take place on Tuesday 15 August at 12md followed by the Assumption Mass (Holy Day of Obligation). First Eucharist (for Year 3 Catholic students) will take place on Saturday 19 August at 4pm at Sacred Heart Parish church. 

Parent Teacher interviews will be held in Weeks 3 and 4 of this term. A conference booking schedule will be sent through Compass for you to book your time. 

Personalised Plan meetings for Semester 2 will also take place at this time. If you are required to attend a Personalised Plan meeting for your child, please book a double timeslot. 

NAPLAN results for Years 3 and 5 will be sent home this Friday 28 July. Changes have been made to how the results are reported to parents. If you have any questions about how to read the report please contact the school. 

Transition for Kindergarten 2024 continues and we are very happy to welcome our transition students back in Term 3. If you know of anyone wishing to enrol their child for 2024 and participate in the transition program this year, please let me know. Program details and enrolment forms are available by contacting Ms Traynor in the Office.

If you know of anyone who is intending to enrol at Sacred Heart either in Kindergarten or any other year group for 2023/2024, please encourage them to contact me at school. 

Happy birthday to Rex (25th July) and Brayden (26th) who celebrate their 8th birthday.  We hope you enjoy your birthday.
