Little Learners

Little Learners Love Literacy (LLLL)

Welcome back to the next Edition of Little Learners Love Literacy!

As we mentioned last week, LLLL is designed to give children the best possible chance of developing into fluent readers, writers and spellers.

LLLL is a systematic and engaging program with focused explicit lessons, games, craft, music, puppets, drawing and much more (all based around phonics and phonemes).

There are Seven Stages that are sequenced to ensure children are supported by resources to enable them to become competent and confident readers. The books that we use in the classroom, build success and develop our readers.

All activities practise reading, writing and spelling words containing the phoneme that we are learning in class.

One of the activities the students enjoy playing which builds on their decoding skills is the Read and Grab game.

This game is a simple, fun word game that can be enjoyed by all ages. It supports children who are reading words with short vowel sounds. The aim of the game is to collect as many sets of cards as possible. Each set of cards has a matching colour and one of Milo’s friends.
