  Self- Care

This weekend was a very "me" centered one. I took a girls trip to Catalina Island on Saturday and I went to get a massage with girlfriends on Sunday. That is not a typical weekend fo rme but it was so necessary. Sometimes it is hard for me to take the time to do these things for myself because begin to feel guilty and selfish. It took a lot to convince myself that it was ok to go away for a day and to treat myself to a massage.

Taking care of ourselves is so very important. By doing so we can improve the relationship we have with ourselves and with others. Seeing us take time for self-care can help our own family and friends begin to implement self- care for themselves. If we are happier and less stressed we are less likely to have outbursts or take out our frustrations on those around us such as; husband or wife, children or students.

If we are not well it is challenging to take care of and be there for others. There are many ways to take some time from our hectic schedules to take care of the most important person in our lives, ourselves. This is the time of year when we must take the time for self-care!!
