IDAHOBIT

On Friday the 19th of May Kempsey High School celebrated IDAHOBIT day. IDAHOBIT day is an international day against LGBTQIA+ discrimination and typically celebrated on May 17. The day serves as an anniversary of the World Health Organisation’s removal of homosexuality from the classification of diseases on May 17th, 1990. The first IDAHOBIT day was celebrated in 2005 and today is acknowledged by millions globally. The PRIDE group and supporting staff celebrated the day during recess with music, activities and snacks.
