Year 7 ACE

On the 21st of November,  year 7 ACE had an opportunity to present their Personal Best Project to their parents, teachers, Principal and Vice Principals. The Personal Best project is an assessment piece which is unique to the ACE group. The students needed to choose a topic that was of interest to them, set up a plan for the next 5 months and track their progress.

The goal for the personal Best Project is not the end result but the journey and self-reflection they made on their journey to their final product. Some examples of projects this year were:

• Making calico dolls
• Investigating robots and their use in movies/tv shows that we watch
• The internet and how it works
• AWARE – animal welfare organisation
• Cooking – recipe books
• Making apple cider

The students put a tremendous amount of effort into their projects and conducted themselves in a very mature manner. They should be extremely proud of their results.

This Wednesday concludes our final community visit for the year. We made our second visit to Marriott Waters Woolworths, to help customers with their shopping, hand out baskets and to spread Christmas cheer.
