As the year comes to a close we would like to thank all students for their efforts across all four terms and wish them luck for their future endeavours whether they be beginning a new journey away from the school in work, apprenticeships, TAFE or university, attending a new school to continue their education or be continuing through education with Lyndhurst Secondary College.

A special time for our year 12 VCE and VCAL students who have now finished their secondary education and can move onto the next phase of their life. A great night was held on the 23rd of November at the Grand on Princes in Mulgrave celebrating the culmination of 13 years in education. VCE students keenly await the results of their examinations. The hard work is complete and the next stage of life awaits.

The presentation ball was held in term four also. 18 couples rehearsed for around three months putting together a fantastic presentation for their families and loved ones. The girls looked stunning in their dresses and the boys scrubbed up pretty well as well. Well done to all involved.

Year 10 and 11 students have completed exams and will now undertake an orientation to set them up for 2019 in their chosen pathways. We hope they have a good break before either entering the senior school or undertaking their final year of secondary study.

Congratulations to all award endeavour winners across the college this semester, a fantastic achievement to maintain a high level of work ethic setting you up well for your future studies. Continue to diligently go about your work with the highest of expectations and you will achieve great things.

The final weeks of the year will see classes cease on the 14th of December. The following week the college will provide an activities program for students in year 7 – 9 only wishing to participate in the activities.

The program will be as follows:

Monday- woodwork at school

Tuesday- shopping at Melbourne central

Wednesday- beach day

Thursday- movies

Friday- environmental duties and finish at 1.30

We hope you remembered to put your name down for the activities you wanted to participate in and returned consent forms and payments. There will be school based activities taking place through out the week. Any questions can be directed to Miss Sampson in the Middle Sub School Office.

Finally have a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful summer break. We look forward to seeing you back ready to learn in 2019.
