Living at Lockington

Game Time!

We have hit the ground running at the Boarding House in Term 2!

After one day at school we enjoyed a relaxed ANZAC Day. The students enjoyed Art and Craft with one of our wonderful volunteer Jan, games at St Kevin’s and some football training as well as watching the football on TV.

On the first weekend the girls, accompanied by Serena and Tahlia, had a fantastic time staying at Rick and Liz’s farm for two nights and exploring the local area. The girls enjoyed some wonderful food, hot chocolates and the neighbours’ horses! Back in Richmond the boys loved watching the new Avengers movie.

All of the students have played their first games for Richmond Junior Football Club! We have our 22 students spread over six teams and all have been kitted out with mouthguards and their uniform and have made a terrific start to the year!

There have been a few slight injuries and complaints with the cold weather, including Pauline spending a few hours in the Royal Children’s Hospital due to a mild concussion but overall some great skills and determination have been on show.

All students have got new warm MITS hoodies, tracksuit pants and Katmandu jackets as the weather starts to change for the Melbourne autumn.

To all our MITS students and their friends, families and communities you should be extremely proud, as for the first time we have all 22 students back for the commencement of our second term!
