Principal's Report

Jonathan Rowe

Dear Parents and Guardians,

I have recently returned from Daramalan College, Canberra, where I met with the MSC Education Council, MSC Principals, Business Managers and Leaders of Faith and Mission. This is the first time we were able to come together for over a year. It reinforced in me the very real sense that we are part of something bigger. All of us who work at Monivae, or send our children to Monivae, are part of the wider Chevalier family. A family founded on love and built on love and this teaching is reflected in our way of life, the way we treat each other with care and compassion for all.

MSC Constitution #13

The spirit of our society is one of love and kindness, humility and simplicity; it is above all, one of love for justice and concern for all, especially the very poor.

Mrs. Helen Morrison has indicated that she will be stepping down from her role as Chair of the Board, and as a Board member, after 18 years of service to Monivae. I sincerely thank Helen for the significant input, influence and the leadership she has provided and wish her well in her retirement. The board is in the process of appointing a new chair.

Tutor Learning Program (TLP)

The response to the survey from parents for the TLP was very pleasing and we have some strong data to work with when designing a program that best supports our students and families. Information outlining the venues, days and times the TLP will be available in your communities, will be sent out shortly. All students are able to access this program and receive support for their learning.

200 Years of Catholic Education

Next Monday, a small number of senior students will accompany Mrs. Carswell into St. Patrick’s Cathedral as our Diocesan community comes together to celebrate 200 years of Catholic education in Australia.

Enrolments 2022

The college has received a large number of enrolment applications for 2022 with a number of scholarship and enrolment interviews already conducted. If you are planning to enrol your child at Monivae in 2022, I ask that you use the link on the College website www.monivae.com and begin this process as soon as possible.

Kind regards,

Jonathan Rowe
