Principal's Report

by David Lord

Athletics

We had record numbers of students and beautiful weather for our athletics carnival on Friday. It was a great day and a real celebration of the talents of our students. The high attendance at these types of events show the strong connections we build across our school community. A particular thanks to Kristian Peron our sport coordinator who worked hard in organising such a successful day.  It was great to be back having a whole school event again!

I would also like to thank everyone for their patience on the day as significant traffic delays caused some students to be late in arriving at the venue.

Staughton School Review

This year Staughton is undertaking a review process to develop a new Strategic Plan for the next four years. We are gathering information from all parts of our Staughton Family. I have attached a very short survey for parents that asks two questions:

  1. What are the Strengths of Staughton College?
  2. What are the two most important areas for Staughton College to focus on in our next Strategic Plan?

Please follow this link to complete the survey.  https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/HRZQNM9

These two questions, in addition to the DET parent survey, will inform discussion at parent focus groups being held at Staughton College on Wednesday 9th June between 3.30 and 4.30 pm and Thursday 10th June between 2.00 and 3.00 pm. If you are interested in attending one of these focus groups please email the school at staughton.co@education.vic.gov.au stating which session you would like to come to

We, at Staughton College, would like to show our respect and acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which our school is situated, of elders past and present. We extend a warm welcome to everyone who visits our school.
