This week's STEM page is focused on giving a big shoutout to our year 5 and 6 students who joined 'Prof.' Wood online for STEM this week.
Year 6 set the tone with 97 students participating in our online meet (a personal record). They showed great commitments in pursuing self-paced learning in Google CS First as we work towards building our own bushfire-focused game on Scratch.
Below are some amazing examples of code developed by Aaron, Daniel, Ruby, and William. We definitely have some budding developers and game designers amongst our senior students.
Year 5's got stuck into some hands-on construction of their hotel/holiday resort designs for possible sustainable buildings in Indonesia.
We worked on Zoom which was a new experience for us all, but again, over 80 students and some other 'Professors' shared in the STEM hour.
We can't wait to get them back in our STEM space so we can continue our 3D modelling as well as cardboard construction and hopefully, 3D printing. Year 5, you're amazing! Thanks to Leni for sharing her example with us.
