This week in Stage 3, Jenny from the Narrabri Library visited to demonstrate how helicopters work. We discussed the different forces (weight, thrust, drag and lift) and experimented with different sized paper helicopters and varied weight using paper clips.

The students had a lot of fun with this activity, especially when testing the functionality of their helicopters using the wind tunnel!

In History, Kindergarten has been learning about our families. More specifically, we have been learning about where our immediate family members were born. We had so much fun locating where our families were born on all kinds of maps, including a world map, and an Australian map. We have also loved learning about what countries some of our families originated from.
