WHO CAN USE OSHC DURING THIS CURRENT LOCKDOWN?
It was confirmed that OSHC should only remain open to provide education and care for:
· Children whose parents are considered authorised workers as listed, who cannot work from home and where no other supervision arrangements can be made.
· Vulnerable children, including children in out-of-home care, children deemed by Child Protection and/or Family Services to be at risk of harm and children identified by the school as vulnerable (including via referral from a family violence agency, homelessness or youth justice service or mental health or other health service).
Please note that if your child falls under any of the above categories listed, we will welcome them to attend our service.
HOW ARE FEES BEING ADJUSTED?
We were also just informed that we can waiver gap fees until 30 June 2021, which is great news for families during this time! This waiver applies to the current lockdown and any further circumstances where schools due to COVID-19 may need to close. In line with this, allowable absences will be increased for families. As per previous government advice to keep families engaged, all permanent bookings will remain in place to guarantee your spot with Big Childcare, knowing gaps fees for absences are being waivered during this time.
