Welcome to the Wellbeing Zone, now a regular in our new look newsletter. When you enter the zone, you will find a wealth of information about all the things happening in the Wellbeing space at Sunshine Heights PS as well as strategies, articles, book recommendations and events that will help build our dream and culture of Wellbeing throughout our school community, inside and outside of school, so that we can sail together through a universe of possibilities with all the emotional and social skills we need to thrive.

A Message From Me to You

Wellbeing Bingo Challenge

Next week, I will be sending out a Wellbeing Bingo Challenge to all students on the Seesaw Exhibition Journals. This challenge has been put together so that we can keep our wellbeing on our radar for the remainder of lockdown. The bingo items have been put together with families in mind, so that you can participate alongside your children! The challenge is to do as many Wellbeing bingo activities as possible. There's a point for each one completed, ten bonus points if students do them all and five bonus points every time a student shares a photo or video to Seesaw about the Wellbeing bingo activity they completed! The student with the most points from each year level (Prep, 1/2, 3/4 and 5/6) will earn a 'Wellbeing Warrior' Badge and be invited to speak at our next assembly about all the great strategies they used to become a Wellbeing warrior!

May the force be with you!

Lockdown Wellbeing Resources

We know how tough these times we are living in can be and the impact they can have on the mental health and wellbeing of our children and families. It's OK not to be okay, but remember that there is help and support out there.

I've put together some support links that may help ride the wave of these immense times, particularly while we remain in lockdown. Some of these resources like Kids Helpline and Beyond Blue include phone numbers for anyone needs counselling support and advice during this time.

The ever magical and creative, Maddy and Bea, our resident artists, have put together some beautiful provocations that we welcome all families and students to respond to and share on Seesaw that can help keep us connected at this time!

BREAKFAST CLUB STARTS TERM 3

Due to the current restrictions, we will be launching our amazing Foodbank Breakfast Club at the beginning of Term 3.

However, for the remainder of the term when we are back onsite, thanks to our amazing friends over at Foodbank, we will be providing fresh fruit snack to all of our students on Mondays!
