Maths Fun Day

Whole School Maths Fun Day 2021

On Friday the 21st of May our school celebrated a Maths Fun Day with a series of fun activities centered on Mathematics. Students came in fancy dress with t-shirts decorated with formulas and other sensational maths costumes.

Students in Year 3 to 6 participated in the Great Maths Quiz of 2021. Students in the same year levels batted it out against each other to find the winning grade. Congratulations to 4 Green, 3 Green, 6 Red and 5 Red for winning the Great Maths Quiz of 2021!

Students across the school played engaging maths games and completed different challenges through ‘Minute to Win it’ challenges! There was amazing maths art work produced by students with so many wonderful sphere optical illusions drawings and grid pictures.

There were also math-themed scavenger hunts for students in Prep, Grade One and Grade Two outside on the playground.

The Junior school students really enjoyed maths picture story books, completing the lego location task, listing all the amazing number facts that they knew about 100 and playing maths games with their buddies.

We planned the events of the day with the goal of inspiring students to appreciate mathematics as a useful and important subject with numerous applications in our everyday lives.
