Lewis

So what creative outlets did you do in lockdown?

School Captain Lewis may have just made up for our collective malaise, by using lock-down to record his debut single, Angelique.

The song is a joyful, nostalgic return, to a summer in 1969, when the world felt united and hopeful of a better future.

Released during the time of COVID, Lewis looks to the glistening sunshine behind the clouds.

The song is a dreamy, heart on sleeve, ode to teenage love. It will leave you happy.

Recorded at his home, Lewis sings and plays all instruments. It sat in his pocket for a year, first as a piano ballad, eventually morphing into the rollicking pop hit it is today.

Reminiscent of the Beatles “Love Me Do” and “PS I Love You”, the song was released 1st August, and can be heard on Spotify You/Tube and Apple Music.

As Molly would say…”Do yourself a favour”

When asked, what music means to him, Lewis responds, that it his escape and his joy. ‘Every time I need it, I’m so glad it is there. It gives me a way to express myself, to vent, and to find joy in things’

The dark clouds of lock-down don’t seem to limit the rise of this pop mastermind.
