A focus upon driving continuous school improvement
At the conclusion of Term Two, our Junior School Council (JSC) members met to discuss how we can help to make a difference within our community as we enter Term Three. A discussion was held around how the situation with coronavirus has impacted upon everyone, especially the homeless and those who are less fortunate.
Therefore, our school has partnered with Dandenong Ranges Emergency Relief Service (DRERS), and are asking members of our community to take part in supporting the homeless who live within our local community. As DRERS supply our school's weekly breakfast program, we are proud to say that we have the chance to give a little in return.
As part of our school-wide wellbeing tasks, this week in Google Classrooms you will find a task which provides students with the opportunity to create an art piece expressing what they are grateful for. In addition to this task, we are also asking families to consider making a donation to DRERS in support of Homelessness Week.
Please note all donations are to me made via the Upwey South QKR app, with details provided in a Compass post dated 28/07/2020.
Please refer to the .pdf below, which provides you with an overview of the project.
