Uniforms Past and Present

Over the past 100 years we have seen many different uniforms at our College starting with the striped blue and red jackets which were from the De La Salle English style blazer. From there it progressed to just a navy blue and we are so very lucky at our archives that we have some outstanding ex-alumni jackets including a student who was one of the first to become a Rhodes Scholar.

We have only a few items from St Ursulas, a uniform, hat and some berets which the girls at the school liked. Of course we have all the different variations of our O'Connor uniforms from the past 40+ years, they have not changed too much.

The Colours

Our current uniform colour emulates our St Ursulas and De La Salle heritage. The burgundy in the senior tie comes from our St Ursulas link and the royal blue theme from the traditional De La Salle colours.   The yellow in our current logo represents the glow of the Holy Spirit.  A reminder that with Term 2 approaching, our students will be dressed in our O'Connor winter uniform and we wish you all a safe holiday and I hope you have enjoyed our regular archives column.
