Gardening Fun!

Hi everyone! The Gardening Club had an influx of new members today and reaped some rewards from our work last term, harvesting and sharing the produce of our bountiful garden, especially delicious silverbeet and spicy radishes.  We were very happy to see our silverbeet, lettuce, radishes, calendula, chives and parsley were all doing well and haven’t been eaten by the hungry possums over the holidays, however some naughty mystery animal has been enjoying our tomatoes! The students were intrigued by finding tiny baby snails on the seedlings Ms Belinda just bought, and were fascinated by their see-through shells. They gently took them to enjoy a garden far away from our veggies!

Nude Food Day every Thursday

Well done to all students who participated in Nude Food Day this week.

And the winner for this Week is … 3/4BOC with 15 rubbish free lunches! They were followed closely by 1/2UR with 14, 5/6FA with 13, 3/4TR with 12, PrepCD with 11 and 5/6MG and 1/2TB with 10 rubbish free lunches.

Some yummy ideas - a sandwich/wrap/roll, pasta with vegetables, soup, frittata or sushi, a fruit or vegetable snack, such as whole fruit, cut up veggie sticks, fruit or savoury kebab or a small salad.

There is a great booklet of ideas here
