COLLEGE INFORMATION

Our official DSC Facebook page

Attention all students:

Return library books no later than Thursday, 13 December 2018.

All students need to return their library books by Thursday, 13 December.

If you have overdue library books, you are finishing school earlier, going on a school camp or exiting the school, please return them to us earlier.

Make sure to check your lockers and school bags for any library books that may need to be returned!

Welfare Library

I would like to extend a big thank you to all the students and families who have donated their unwanted school text books to the Welfare Library. With these donations the school can reach out to students in need. This is beneficial to their education and makes them feel more secure within the school environment.

The students who have received these text book loans have expressed their gratitude. We have also received positive feedback from the school community about this venture.

Please keep in mind that any student /family can still donate their old texts books to the school.  Drop them in at the library.

Many thanks.

Year 7&8 Headstart STEM Rocket Challenge

Headstart for year 7 and 8 is fast approaching. giving another opportunity for our students to engage with STEM, which is an application of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths. The challenge this year will be to construct a Rocket.

STEM CHALLENGE

Students are to design and produce a bottle rocket that flies the highest and farthest. The finished design will be launched from a bottle-rocket launcher.

To help support your child, our students and college, we request that your child brings these resources to the school.

  • A minimum volume of a 1.2L plastic bottle
  • Materials for fins – this can be either - lightweight materials or heavy-duty cardboard or other bottles can be used as fins or corrugated cardboard (Aldi boxes, wax boxes)

Students are to place their goodies in a NAMED bag and bring to G block staffroom. Either Ms Sapardanis or Ms Katiforis will store them in a safe place ready for Headstart.
