Prospect Spring Fair

Prospect Spring Fair

On Saturday 27 October, thousands turned out at Broadview Oval for the annual Prospect Spring Fair.  With rides, entertainment, food and a multitude of stalls and activities, there was certainly something for everyone!

Blackfriars was well represented at the Spring Fair with the boys from Protocol Band hitting the Community Stage at 11:30am and the Blackfriars Hound strolling around the environs for much of the day.

Throughout the day the Development Office team, joined by Mrs Robyn Carmody and the newly appointed Prefects and School Captains, conducted the Prospect Pawtriat Prize – encouraging artists of all ages to draw a picture of their pet. Around one hundred pictures were submitted across the day with the winning entries belonging to Jacob Short (age 9) and Noah Till (age 7). Both winning entries will go on display at the upcoming Prospect Community Art Show for the entire community to enjoy!

Special thanks to Terry Howe Printing Services for supporting the Prospect Pawtriat Prize and to Mr Cobiac as our chief judge!
